He was an active member of Archview Baptist Church in Little Rock for 49 years, where he served as a deacon, sang in the choir, and taught Sunday School. He retired from Timex following a 40-year career as a Tool and Die Maker. Ray was a native of Cleburne County, where he graduated from Wilburn High School.
